Hello, I'm Anita Lomas

I'm a basketmaker and natural fibre weaver. All of my work is handwoven, mostly using natural fibres, although I do also work with willow.

The natural fibres include dandelion, day lily, iris sibirica, daffodil and willow bark. All materials are either grown in my garden or foraged locally. Any plant material is always harvested at the end of its natural lifecycle so it can flourish again the following year.

I'm based in South Manchester and can offer one-to-one workshops, or I'm available to travel a short distance if a suitable venue is available.

I am City & Guilds qualified, tutored by professional makers, and I'm a member of The Basketmakers' Association.
